Blane Stewart, Research

~~~~~~ Editor~~~~~~
My role within Red Bus Productions is the Editor, and from this role I control and over see the final content of the documentary, and decide what special effects and transitions will be used in the final cut of the film. I will be constantly checking for the progress of the project and foreseeing the editorial decisions that will need to be made further down the line in the production process. As the editor I determine the specific scene and clips that make the end film and is ultimately shown at the U-Doc Festival
 Key Points: To Change audience options, To Entertain, invite audience to another world
Main Idea’s for Documentary
(1) Phobia's
 Presented in ‘The Performative’ / ‘The Expository Mode’
The idea's of Phobia's is an interesting and broad scope for a documentary because of the wide variety of types of Phobia's we could to into for the main feature of the film or concentrate on several phobia's at once. This documentary could this link to OCD idea as well, as both go hand in hand and cross over in there treatments and clients.
(3) Conspiracy Theories
Presented in ‘The Observational Mode’ / ‘The Reflexive Mode’
An interesting concept, and similar to the Phobia’s idea in the sense of having so many different directions to take the documentary. But one of the disadvantages would be that main portion of the conspiracy theories are in America. But this could edge the production to become strict, UK Conspiracy theories only. But could also contrast and compare UK based theories to American or other foreign theories.
(2) Cross-Dressing
Presented in ‘The Reflexive mode’ / ‘The Performative Mode’
As Cross-dressing becomes a more common issue and is regularly brought to the public's attention, especially in this day and age with shows such as ‘Little Britain’ publicizing the issue, what actually do we know about it? And why is it such a taboo subject some of the time? It has even gotten to the point where there is a cross-dressing facebook!
But why be separate? The people feel like they can’t be part of normal society becuase of Cross-dressing? This could lead some issues being raised in the ‘Expository Mode’. Some possible links to the idea
(4) 2010 – The World Ending
Presented in 'The Expository Mode' / 'The Participatory Mode'
A more recent and talked about subject, that in recent years has captivated many religious and spiral groups and even historians into believing the theories linking the date set by the  Mesoamerican Long count Calendar, of 21st  December, 2010
(5) Media Dependancy
Presented in 'The Participatory Mode' / 'The Performative Mode'
As the younger generations become more and more driven by technology, and things such as Facebook and twitter become a part of everyday life, the 2000’s are being dubbed as the lighting age for technology. This documentary could be focused around us as group, trying to spend a week without any form of technology including internet, mobile phone or and begin to watch how we cope with it.
(6) Abortion
Presented in 'The Observational Mode' / 'The Participatory Mode'
A few sensitive and political issue raised every day, in even to teenagers. Is right or wrong? Or does in depend of circumstances? The documentary would focus on women ranging from different ages and generations and how abortion affected them and why they did it? And even get several opposing political parties involved.
