Based on the results I gathered from the questionnaire I researched into a film regarding global warming as it was a mentioned theory some of the participants of the questionnaire were aware of. The Day After Tomorrow(2004), a film by the same director as the recently released 2012 film, is a film based upon the fact that global warming is starting to affect us, and it can hit us severely at any time. This film features natural disasters involving giant tidal waves, blocks of ice melting away, blocks of ice falling from the sky and more severe disasters which can jeopardise our very existence. Global warming could take us to the next ice age, and it is up to us to act fast in order to survive it. In this film, it is said that the northern hemisphere will be completely affected and iced over in a new ice age, and that the southern hemisphere is the safest place to be. There is no escape from global warming, it will happen sooner or later and in the case of 2012 speculations, global warming has become one of the theories that people believe could happen. Again, this film is pro-America and just shows that America is the country that become aware of global warming first and is able to react to it the quickest. It shows how other countries such as Canada, Japan, China, and so on can't cope with global warming and just end up covered in snow with millions of deaths to their populations. This film, in my opinion is a bad interpretation of global warming because this film takes about three days from the start to the end of the global warming. Global warming is a long process and if it does happen there will be news and updates about therefore giving us the time to react, prepare and fight for survival. | ![]() |
