The Bible Code The Bible Code was made arguably most famous by Michael Drosnin, with his 1997 book of the same name. The Bible is said to have a complex algorithm written within which can predict future events and allegedly all history. Although the code has been proven wrong on it's predictions before, 2006 being the last year to be named by the code as the end of the world, it is a worthy theory. |  |
 | Egyptian Calendar The Egyptian Calendar of Stone is engraved on The Great Pyramid of Giza, this uses a Pheonix Cycle to follow the Galactic Orbit. The calendar ends during the 2012 Galactic Alignment. This could be because the calendar only follows one 26,000 year cycle or because it is indeed the end of the world as we know it. |
Galactic Superwave These happen approximately every 13,000 years, when the last superwave happened it ended Earth's ice age. The problem that the Galactic Superwave poses is that we are much more vulnerable towards them whilst enduring the Galactic Alignment which we will have in 2012. The Superwave also sends out large amounts of dust which can disrupt the sun causing an increase in solar activity. If the Superwave is large it can destroy the Earth's O-Zone layer, leaving us defenceless against ultraviolet light/radiation from the sun, this is even more so damaging when considering the fact that 2012 is the year which we will naturally be expecting more Solar Activity/Storms. |  |
 | The Mayan Calendar The Long Count Calendar, as it is known as by Mayan's, didn't necessarily predict the end of the world but it does show that something could happen. It will be 5126 years old by the time we reach 2012 and has proven to be amazingly astronomically accurate, even in modern times. It started on August 13th 3114 BC which is 0.0.0.0.1. on the calendar, and ends in December 21st – 23rd 2012, 13.0.0.0.0 on the calendar. But when it reaches the end, it has actually never been stated that is it the end of the world, the calender restarts at 0.0.0.0.1 again. The date of which the calendar ends is also during the Galactic Alignment, some speculate that this signals something apocalyptic will happen or that our civilization will reach new peaks. |
Pacha Cuti Q'ero shamans, who are from the Andes Mountains, believe that a new type and/or species of humans will appear in 2012. This new species will help make the Earth peaceful and rid any/all wrong doings in dark modern times. There are two theories on how this shall happen, one is that a new species of humans, 'the luminous ones', will appear in 2012 with new features and nature in order to right the world. Another theory is sat the Ancient Inca ruler Pacha Cuti (who was believed to be of a godlike status) will return in 2012 to create peace within Earth again. He had helped the Inca people in his times and stepped out of time itself in order to return in 2012. |  |
 | Solar Storm During sun's eleven year cycle, where sun spots start and stop across the sun's surface, solar storms can begin. Solar storms can send out extremely large amounts of energy when magnetic fields within the sun's surface snap, this energy can hit energy at speeds reaching a 1,000,000mph. The Earth's magnetic field, which would normally protect us, is naturally weakening and will struggle to fight off any large Solar Storm's, meaning power outtages and loss of mobile communication is likely. The last Solar Storm was in 2001 and the next is 2012, with the next Solar Storm predicted to be 30% to 50% stronger. |
Super Volcano The Yellowstone Volcano erupts approximately every 600,000 years, it is the only super volcano which is not extinct, it is now 640,000 since it last erupted. The reason why it very well might erupt in 2012 is due to the amount of things that could be the trigger. The energy from Solar Storm's, the Galactic Alignment, a nuclear bomb/warfare and the magnetic fields from a pole reversal. The ground surrounding the volcano has been rising by three inches each year since 2004, which is a startling rate. The volcano has also been having small earthquakes at a frequent rate, meaning that their is magma moving within it. The last eruption of a super volcano caused the ice age, with ash blocking out sunlight. Without sunlight and with dropping temperatures food would be scarce and the only refuge would be tropical islands, which is how mankind survived the last ice age. |  |
 | Web Bot The Web Bot project started in the 1990's and finds out all of the keywords within the internet by scouring it and interpreting it using it's technology. It correctly predicted that there would be 'An occurrence of such proportion that it's effects would be felt worldwide' in 2001, this unfortunately turned out to be 9/11. Originally the project was set up to predict the stock market, but then started using itself for other means. It predicts that 2012 will see 'worldwide calamity taking place'. |
Nibiru/Planet X This is the theory that another planet will collide with Earth in 2012. It is meet with a lot of scientific disregard yet has picked up a very big viral campaign to work itself up amongst other theories. The theory derived from Nancy Lieder from Wisconsin, as a child she apparently contacted by aliens that were called Zetas and they fitted a communication device in her brain. She became noticed on the internet when she stated that the 1997 Hale-Bopp comet wouldn't come any nearer to earth and was nothing more than a marketing campaign to distract people from a passing planet which was going to destroy earth. The comet exceeded expectations and became brighter than expected, Lieder removed the sentences about the distance of the comet but kept the comments about the passing planet and destruction of earth by these 'aliens'. The prediction of 2003 being the year the world would end proved to be wrong, Lieder then said it was a lie to fool the establishment, as giving them the actual date would have meant they were prepared and it would have given them power. 2012 is said to be the year Nibiru/Planet X arrives/collides. |  |
