An Australian man called Robert Bast has created a website Survive 2012 (http://survive2012.com/),  which is about the different theories that people assume will happen in December 2012. He has set up forums and blog sites for people who believe the theories surrounding the year 2012. He is currently writing his book, 'Survive 2012' which has in fact been long-over due as he started writing this book in 2008.

Robert Bast would be a good contact to have for our documentary as he has done lots of research about the theories of 2012 . We would have to do an interview over the phone or through Skype as it would be difficult from us to do the interview in person.

Within a Telegraph article, a Mayan elderly person has insisted that 2012 will not bring the end of the world (http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/newstopics/howaboutthat/6300744/2012-is-not-the-end-of-the-world-Mayan-elder-insists.html)  Also, within the interview with a Guatemalan who says that the 2012 theories are all from the Western side of the world rather than the Mayan communities.

This article was written and published just before the film 2012 being released in cinemas which is based on the world ending due to earthquakes , tsunamis etc.

On this NASA frequently asked questions web page reassures people that nothing is going to happen in the year of 2012 (http://www.nasa.gov/topics/earth/features/2012.html). However, this page was written in 2009 so we do not know if world scientists have found out anything more about asteroids or a galactic superwave is about occur in the near future.

This site gives people more information about the different predictions that could happen within the year of 2012 (http://www.december2012endofworld.com). Within this site the publisher has included the different religious views such as the Bible Prophecies (http://www.december2012endofworld.com/2012-bible-prophecies). This shows that some christians believe the world will end in 2012 not just people on the Internet.
